Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Msumanje Kili Explore. By booking any tour, trek, or travel service with us, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any reservation.

1. Booking and Confirmation

  • All bookings must be made in writing via email or through our official website.

  • A 10% deposit of the total tour cost is required to confirm your reservation.

  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days before the start of your trip.

  • Bookings made within 30 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • All cancellations must be made in writing.
  • Refunds are issued as follows:

  • 60 days or more before departure: 80% refund
  • 30–59 days before departure: 50% refund
  • Two weeks before departure: No refund
  • No refunds will be given for unused services, no-shows, or early departures.

3. Travel Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients.
  • Insurance must cover high-altitude trekking (for Kilimanjaro), medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings.

  • Clients are responsible for purchasing insurance before travel.

4. Health and Fitness Requirements

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport, appropriate visa, and required vaccinations.
  • A Yellow Fever vaccination may be required, especially if arriving from certain countries.

5. Passport, Visa & Vaccinations

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport, appropriate visa, and required vaccinations.
  • A Yellow Fever vaccination may be required, especially if arriving from certain countries.

6. Included and Excluded Services

Each tour or trek includes specific services outlined in the itinerary.

Included (unless stated otherwise):

  • Accommodation as specified in the itinerary

  • All park fees and permits

  • Professional guides and support crew

  • Transfers as mentioned

  • Meals during the trip

Excluded:

  • International airfare

  • Visa fees

  • Tips and gratuities

  • Travel insurance

  • Personal expenses (laundry, drinks, souvenirs, etc.)

7. Force Majeure

Msumanje Kili Explore shall not be held liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, strikes, or acts of God.

8. Liability and Responsibility

  • While we prioritise safety and professionalism, travel and adventure activities involve inherent risks.

  • Msumanje Kili Explore, its employees, and affiliates shall not be held responsible for injury, loss, damage, accident, or delay caused by third parties or unforeseen circumstances.

9. Photography and Marketing

  • Photos and videos may be taken during trips for promotional purposes.

  • By participating, you grant permission for such use unless you notify us in writing before the tour begins.

10. Complaints and Disputes

  • Any complaints should be reported immediately to your guide or trip leader for prompt resolution.

  • Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the trip ends.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and any disputes shall be resolved in Tanzanian courts.
