8 Days Shira Route Trek – Kilimanjaro Climb

The 8-Day Shira Route Trek is one of the most scenic and rewarding ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Beginning on the western side of the mountain, the Shira Route crosses the breathtaking Shira Plateau before joining the Machame Route. This extended itinerary provides additional time for acclimatization, significantly improving summit success while allowing trekkers to fully appreciate Kilimanjaro’s diverse landscapes.

The route passes through moorland, alpine desert, volcanic formations, and glacier zones before reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. Along the way, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Kibo Peak, Mawenzi Peak, Mount Meru, and the vast plains of northern Tanzania.
